Jon Jones was seen practising with Gable Steveson. The UFC Heavyweight Champion was in action against the former WWE Superstar and the Olympic Gold Medalist. Jon will be taking on Stipe Miocic in the upcoming UFC bout. The video of Jones practising with Gable Steveson has gone viral on social media platforms.

In the viral video, the duo exchanged punches and tried to attack each other. Gable tried to deliver a suplex as if it was a Wrestling match. Jones got out of Gable's clutches and resorted to his punches. The duo had a bit of a smile as they had a good action on the mat. The fans had mixed opinions on the training session.

While some felt Jon needed to practice harder, others felt it was good to see segments like it. Jones was scheduled to take place in November 2023 at UFC 295 at the Madison Square Garden. However, Jones ended up withdrawing due to an injury. The UFC Boss Dana White announced their match last month.

Gable Steveson and Stipe Miotic's Wrestling backgrounds

He claimed that Jones vs Miocic is set to take place at UFC 309. He claimed to decide on the future depending on the match between the two. "Jon Jones is going to fight [Stipe Miocic] in Madison Square Garden in November. And then if he wins or Stipe wins, we see what happens next," said Dana White.

Gable Steveson is known for being an Olympic Gold Medalist. In Tokyo, he bagged the prestigious medal in the Men's 125 kg Wrestling category. For a brief period after it, Gable was in WWE. At the NXT North American Bash, he took on Baron Corbin. 

In May 2024, the star wrestler was released from the WWE roster. Miocic has a Wrestling background too. He competed at the 2003 NCAA Championships when he was in Cleveland. After losing to Francis Ngannou at the UFC 260, he has not been in action. He holds the record for most title fights (6) and consecutive title defences (3).
