'Top black wrestlers in the world are in AEW' - Tony Khan takes indirect dig at WWE (Source: X)
Tony Khan gave a controversial statement that AEW has some of the top black wrestlers in the world on their roster. The AEW Boss felt lucky to have them and added that his promotion had become a platform where free agents could come and become big stars. He claimed most of the top black wrestlers in the world are in AEW.
The host took the names of some of the top stars of the company like Swerve Strickland, Powerhouse Hobbs, Bobby Lashley, Ricochet, and Shelton Benjamin to mention how stacked the resources in the company are. Tony agreed to it and felt they were lucky to have such big names on their roster.
The AEW Boss claimed himself to be fortunate enough to have been able to build a platform where they could build stars from scratch and also help the free agents make a name for themselves. He then claimed that some of the top black Superstars in the world are on their roster.

"So we’re really lucky to have those great stars, and you know, we’ve been fortunate to be able to build up some stars and also have a lot of great free agents come into where I think so many of the top wrestlers, some of the top black wrestlers in the world are in AEW," said Tony Khan.
Tony claimed it to be a good thing to hear. "And I really think most of the top black wrestlers in the world are now in AEW. But I think that is a conscious thing, but I also think it’s great, and it’s awesome to hear that," added the AEW Boss in his statement.
Tony's statement has gone viral on social media with mixed opinions from the fans. While some agreed with what Tony said, others felt WWE had an equally good roster with several talented stars if not better than AEW. Some felt it was good to see black wrestlers being the top stars of both companies.
