In any wrestling company, injuries are not a good sign for wrestlers. These injuries can cause a lot of pain and may sometimes end their careers. In 2019 AEW was formed but was facing major setbacks due to injury. WWE is not a safe sport and has many wrestlers getting injured while performing stunts, special moves etc.

AEW superstars risk their lives when they step into the ring. They aim to give fans the enjoyment they want.  But while performing the stunts they had to pay a big price as some of them changed due to injuries some lives have changed.

Hence on that note, let us take a look at the five worst AEW injuries:

1. Sammy Guevara's move makes Jeff Hardy concussed

In 2022 Jeff Hardy signed a contract with AEW and his contract is about to end soon with the company. Meanwhile Jeff Hardy is not available due to injury. This injury took place on February 16 in No Disqualification AEW Rampage when he was on the other end and Sammy Guevara’s Shooting Star Press got hit at him. Jeff Hardy's injury had consequences for him and later in March 2024, Sammy Guevara was suspended by the company.

2. Jon Moxley gets hurt

Jon Moxley is well known for their fiery matches but during her match with Rey Fenix, she was the reason for suspensions. The incident took place in the International Championship when Rey Fenix faced Jon Moxley. The event saw him take Rey Fenix drivers from the masked wrestler on Dynamite. This resulted in Jon Moxley getting unconcise during the starting stage of the match. The audience was confused, about whether the referee's shout would get him suspended in September 2023.

3. Bryan Danielson's orbital bone was broken

Bryan Danielson got the worst injury during the match which was visible to the fans. This injury took place during the tag-team match. His partner was Claudio Castagnoli. The match was against Kazuchika Okada and Orange Cassidy, in Dynamite 2023 October. After getting hit Bryan Danielson was holding his head and later it was revealed that he had broken his orbital bone. He was using an eye patch for some time and according to reports he needed surgery in 2023. 

4. Rey Fenix injuries his arm

During this episode of Dynamite, Rey Fenix has injured his arm. This incident took place during the match when he was put on the table. While landing Rey Fenix was in a lot of pain and his arm was hit. The injury was serious which led Thunder Rosa to post a message on her social media account. As per Sportskeeda, she wrote, "Guys let me remind everyone that WE PUT OUR LIVES AND BODIES on the line for this sport. Be mindful of what we said to the performers. We love our fans and we do this because is our passion but be mindful. Today was scary. Please pray for my friend…."

5. Adam Copeland gets a tibia fracture

Adam Copeland had the worst injury as a wrestler. In March 2024 in Double or Nothing pay-per-view Adam Copeland former TNT Champion was defending his title against Malakai Black in Barbed Wire Steel Match. The incident took place during the match as he dived from the top of the steel cage but ended up landing roughly. He has a fractured tibia. The injury had a big setback for him as his title was taken off and the TNT Championship announced that the opponents for the ladder match will be held at AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door 2024. 

WWE AEW
