The Bloodline suffered a significant defeat at WrestleMania 40, as Cody Rhodes eventually dethroned Roman Reigns as WWE Champion. Of course, Rhodes had some help in making that happen, with John Cena and The Undertaker helping to level the odds, and by the conclusion, The Bloodline no longer held Championship gold. The faction's first move towards retaliation began on tonight's SmackDown, requiring some adjustment. Solo Sikoa led the campaign, not only assaulting Jimmy Uso and forcing him out of the gang but also bringing in a new member, free agency signing Tama Tonga.

Paul Heyman would address the defeat at WrestleMania 40, stating that they would not make excuses and that Roman's obsession with Seth Rollins would cost him the Championship. A new era was about to begin, but before Heyman could say anything further, Sikoa seized the mike and spoke his own opinions.

Sikoa repeated Heyman's earlier comments, stating that losses have consequences. He questioned Heyman whether that was the fact, and Heyman confirmed, prompting Sikoa to declare that if that was true, something needed to happen. He laughed at Jimmy, and Jimmy fought back, but Sikoa embraced him.

Paul Heyman attempted to contact Roman Reigns

Unfortunately, Jimmy's luck ran out as a hooded stranger leaped into the ring and attacked him immediately. After a minute of attacking and stamping on Jimmy, the hooded man stood up and took the hoodie down, revealing his identity as the strongly rumored free agent Tama Tonga. Paul Heyman was stunned by all that was going on, and he was not looking forward to what would happen next.

Sikoa wrapped a chair around Jimmy's neck and said, "I love you" before storming up and smashing him into the turnbuckle. Tonga held up the 1, and Sikoa approached Heyman, who cowered in dread in the corner. Sikoa pushed him over to join them, but as Heyman attempted to contact Roman Reigns, Sikoa stomped on the phone.
