WWE fans might have a piece of bad news ahead of them. One of the star wrestlers and Gunther's nemesis is set to be out of action for more than 6 months. Joe Tessitore, the latest WWE commentator gave an update on the same in the latest episode of WWE Raw. He claimed that the former NXT Superstar had suffered an ACL tear.
The wrestler in the discussion is none other than Ilja Dragunov. The star wrestler faced the Ring General in a live show for the world title. It looks like he has injured himself in the show which led to him getting ruled out of action. Though Ilja showed up on Raw a few weeks back, he is medically not clear.

ACL tears can often take a long time to recover. Dragunov recently confronted the members of the Judgement Day. It seemed like he could be involved in a feud with the top faction of Raw. Unfortunately, he is likely to be out of action till WrestleMania 41. Reportedly, there were many major plans for Ilja.

Earlier this year, Ilja was in NXT and had great work as a solo wrestler. He was also the NXT Champion for a long time and it took Trick Williams to end his reign. It was the best way for him to get drafted into the main roster. On Raw, he has been involved in some best matches.
Ilja hasn't had a bad match as a wrestler yet. He probably had to get a good character to get attention from the fans. The best way for it would be to have a feud with Gunther given their past in NXT UK. Whenever the duo faced each other, they delivered some of the greatest Wrestling matches.
As an attempt to get them against each other, a live match was planned in Georgia. Unfortunately, it turned out to harm Ilja who suffered an ACL tear. The fans are hoping to see him in action as soon as possible. By the time he returns, the creative team could plan a better booking for him.
