WATCH: Sami Zayn claims Gunther is scared to face him for world title on WWE Raw (Source: X)
Sami Zayn cut a promo against Gunther and Ludwig Kaiser on the latest episode of WWE Raw. The former Intercontinental Champion took a dig at the Ring General who has not been willing to accept Sami as his opponent for the world title. Zayn claimed that Gunther was scared to face him knowing what happened between them at WrestleMania XL.
Sami was in the arena trying to gain the attention of the Ring General. He recalled about the last week of the red brand where Gunther trolled Bret Hart and claimed him to be his second favorite wrestler of all time behind Goldberg. Sami felt it was not good on the part of Gunther to attack his hero.

He then claimed that the Ring General was full of himself. He claimed Gunther to be one of the greatest IC Champions of all time. He reminded Gunther that it was he who ended his title reign on the big night. Sami claimed Gunther remembered it well and hence did not want to have a match with him.
Gunther denies to face Sami Zayn on WWE Raw
Sami felt Gunther did not mean it when he said he did not belong to his level to have a fight. Zayn claimed even the Ring General knows deep down that Sami is on his level. The former Bloodline member claimed that he is in Gunther's head who remembers what happened at WrestleMania XL in Philadelphia.
Sami felt Gunther was denying his challenge as he knew the star wrestler had beaten him at WrestleMania and could do the same to win the world title. He further claimed that Gunther just feared facing him. That was when the music of Ludwig Kaiser hit.
After the segment between Sami and Ludwig, Gunther appeared to let him know the decision. The Ring General said his decision was 'No'. The world champion refused to take on Sami simply because he felt Zayn was not at his level. Next week on Raw, Kaiser will be taking on Zayn.
