Skye Blue reveals she attacked Mercedes Mone and earns dynamite title shot

On the most recent episode of Dynamite, the identity of Mercedes Mone's (aka Sasha Banks) mysterious assailant from last month was revealed, and it was someone she never anticipated. Skye Blue is the alleged attacker. Mercedes Mone's era was already on the horizon when she joined AEW in March, and it was reinforced during last weekend's AEW Double or Nothing when she overcame Willow Nightingale to become the new TBS Champion.

On tonight's episode of AEW Dynamite, The CEO arrived in spectacular style to celebrate her wonderful title triumph against the same woman who had her sidelined for over a year due to a career-threatening injury.

With the whole ringside adorned for her celebration, Mercedes began by reflecting on her AEW debut, her match with Willow Nightingale, and even Kris Statlander and Stokely Hathaway. She then shifted the spotlight on herself, promising to be one of the finest TBS champions in AEW, beginning with the Forbidden Door pay-per-view.

However, her celebration was cut short when Skye Blue came on the titantron, revealing herself to be the unknown assailant who murdered Mone during her interview a few weeks prior. Following a terrifying warning, Blue surprised The CEO with another strike, making a statement at the cost of the new champion.

Mercedes Moné celebrated her new TBS Champion

During an interview with Alex Marvez last month, the CEO was asked who she would prefer to face at Double or Nothing: Julia Hart or Willow Nightingale. However, minutes later, the lights went out, leaving her in the dark, but her assailant was nowhere to be found when the lights came back on.

At the time, Julia Hart appeared to be the most likely suspect. Mercedes Mone celebrated her new TBS Champion status tonight on Dynamite, but she received a different surprise. Tonight, Mercedes Moné recognized the large bullseye behind her back after winning the TBS Championship, but she certainly did not expect a move on her so soon. It remains to be known how she will respond.
