MJF returned to AEW after being out of action for a long time. On Double or Nothing, he addressed a lot of things after taking out Adam Cole. The latter was having a promo and the crowd was booing him. Cole claimed that Las Vegas sucked. He then took out the mask which was symbolic of breakup of his friendship with MJF and reminded everyone of the past.

As the crowd started to chant "MJF", lights went off. There was huge cheers from the crowd and the focus shifted to backstage where in the locker room, one could see MJF in his arena. A loud pop followed as MJF entered the arena with a blue jean jacket. It was a perfect tribute to Triple H who used to don similar dress in his prime.

MJF came to the ring and stood opposite to Cole. All the past memories haunted MJF and Adam seemed to enjoy it. To his shock, it seemed as if MJF forgotten the past incidents, as he came to hug the former WWE Superstar. Just when Cole seemed happy, MJF delivered a low blow and jackhammer to send a message to everyone in the locker room. He was well and truly back.

MJF takes dig at NJPW and Vince McMahon

Following the beat down of Cole, MJF addressed the crowd. He claimed himself to be the greatest wrestler on Earth and added that he does not need the support of NJPW or Vince McMahon to become the person he is. He claimed himself to be a generational talent. MJF said that Cole could become the person he was due to his association with WWE.

MJF addressed about the rumors of him leaving AEW. He took a dig at the crowd and claimed them to be dumb. MJF asked the cameraman to focus on his tattoo and claimed to be the Wolf of Wrestling as far as AEW is concerned. He confirmed the fact that he is not leaving AEW. As his music hit, the crowd roared and welcomed him.
