WWE's upcoming PLE Clash at the Castle is already here. With only a week till the big performance in Glasgow, Scotland, another match appears to have been officially announced. Sami Zayn, who won the Intercontinental Championship over Gunther at WrestleMania 40, has been battling with The Alpha Academy, notably Chad Gable, for several weeks.

At King and Queen of the Ring in Saudi Arabia, Sami Zayn defended his title in his first PLE since winning. In that bout, he faced Bronson Reed and Chad Gable, and the odds were stacked against him. Though Zayn emerged triumphant that night, he will now face Gable one-on-one at Clash at the Castle.

Maxxine Dupri, Akira Tozawa, and Otis addressed Zayn on Gable's behalf at WWE Raw. In his notes, he said unequivocally that he desires a rematch to put a stop to all of this anguish. Zayn then decided to confront Gable as long as it was true that everything would be resolved. Gable then tackles the champion from behind, and the rest of the group dislikes their stablemate.

Chad Gable yells instructions at them as he has for weeks, and Otis's dispute persists. He's not sure what to do, but as Gable pushes Zayn into him and knocks Maxxine and Tozawa to the ground, he rushes for Zayn. It's evident that Otis is reaching his breaking point, so it wouldn't be surprising if he turned on Gable during the episode.

Drew McIntyre, meanwhile seeks vengeance for Damian Priest

So yet, just two matches have been announced, and they involve two hometown favorites. Piper Niven and Drew McIntyre will both be given title opportunities in a bid to bring the championship back to Scotland. Niven will face Bayley for her third title defense since becoming Women's Champion at WrestleMania 40.

McIntyre, meanwhile, seeks vengeance for Damian Priest stealing his World Heavyweight Championship at Mania after cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase. McIntyre's previous appearance on Clash at the Castle was a title contest against Roman Reigns.

He was the odds-on favorite to win, but Reigns proceeded to dominate (no pun intended). McIntyre is on the run of his career with this new villain character, so his finally winning the match that has been building for months would be the ideal way to end the program.
