Perc Gable arrives and builds momentum with Otis' assistance ahead of King of the Ring 2024

Perc Gable arrived on Monday Night Raw and beat Sami Zayn to get the much required momentum ahead of King of the Ring 2024. The Alpha Academy's star almost brought on the persona of Kurt Angle for the match and in the end seemed to have transitioned himself to be one with his antics. Be it the dress he wore or the reaction of the fans, it was pretty evident.

Sami Zayn addressed the crowd to start the night. He claimed that beating Gunther was possible because he gave his heart, body, and soul. Gable came to address Sami and said that he is a part of the faction that is full of clowns. As the Alpha Academy's members were upset with it, Gable claimed that he would do everything to become the IC title.

The match between Gable and Sami followed it. Throughout the match, Chad asked his teammates to use foul tricks on the Intercontinental Champion. The duo of Maxinne Dupri and Tozawa refused to be a part of the illegal practice. Chad got irked by his teammates and asked them to get out of the arena. A disappointed Dupri and Tozawa walked away from the arena.

Chad Gable claims win with Otis' assistance

Gable concentrated on the match and took on Zayn. After the IC Champion had the momentum early in the match, Gable got his way into the match. He put Sami under pressure with his in-ring skills and the latest antics of claiming wins by illegal tricks. The Alpha Academy member tried to force Otis to help him. As Otis refused to take on Sami outside the ring, Chad got irked.

An irritated Gable slapped Otis on his face. The disappointment for Otis continued. Gable went back to the ring and focused on the match. Sami delivered a suplex and threatened to execute Helluva kick. Otis from behind attacked the IC Champion and forcefully assisted Gable. A happy Gable delivered his finisher and pinned Zayn to claim a win. The crowd started to chant 'You Suck' similar to the way they did with Kurt.
