Oba Femi's domination continues, defends title against Tony D'Angelo at NXT No Mercy

Oba Femi's domination continued as the champion as he managed to defend the NXT North American title against Tony D'Angelo at NXT No Mercy. Despite being taken to limit, Oba managed to defend his title. Trick Williams warned Ethan Page to stay within his limits and boosted the confidence of Joe Hendry as a special guest referee ahead of their match at No Mercy.

Oba was the most dominant against Tony right from the word go. There was a display of his power as the champion was all over D'Angelo. It seemed like he would not break a sweat on his way to defend the title. However, Tony put up a fight after settling in the match. He nearly had the edge over the champion in many instances.

Oba Femi kicked out at two on many instances despite Tony trying his best. He suddenly gained momentum and used power to his advantage. Oba delivered three powerbombs in a row and pinned Tony to claim a win. He looked at Tony as if to say none could beat him. It will be interesting to see who could beat Oba and dethrone his title reign.

Trick Williams' message to Joe Hendry and Ethan Page

Backstage on No Mercy, Trick Williams encountered with Ethan Page. The star wrestler who has the job of the special guest referee claimed to have control over the match. He asked Page to not do anything silly. The former NXT Champion warned Page of facing consequences. Likewise, Trick went up to his mate Joe Hendry and encouraged him ahead of the big match.

In the main event of the night, Joe will be taking on Page for the world title. Trick said Joe had in him to become the new NXT Champion. Hendry just wanted to let Trick know that he would get the first shot at the title after beating Page. It is to be seen how the dynamics of the three work inside the ring when the main event of the night unfolds.
