Oba Femi and Kelani Jordan defend their North American title at NXT Heatwave

Oba Femi and Kelani Jordan defended their North American Championship at NXT Heatwave. While Femi overcame a tough battle against Wes Lee, Jordan was impressive in her win over Sol Ruca. Both matches proved to be great and the fans were totally invested in them. There were chants of "NXT", " This is Awesome", and "Holy Shit". There was an equal support for all four wrestlers in the match.

Oba and Wes Lee started the night with a great match. Lee started the proceedings as he tried to dominate the mighty wrestler. But Oba was a bit too good as he always is. The star wrestler showed his brute strength as he literally tossed Wes all over the ring in several instances in the match. Wes was not a pushover. He was athletic and countered the brute strength of Femi in several instances. 

But Oba had the momentum on his side. The crowd want " Let's go Wes Lee, Oba Femi" and showed their support for a great match. It indeed proved to be a classic match. Neither of them were ready to give up easily. In the end, it was the brute strength of Femi that came handy in his title defense. Oba delivered his finisher and claimed a win via pinfall. But he knew it wasn't easy at all and acknowledged the efforts of Lee. 

Kelani Jordan overcomes Sol Ruca

What followed the match was another title defense. This time, Kelani Jordan defended the North American title against Sol Ruca. It proved to be a banger as two different styles of Wrestling was involved. Neither of them had any advantage throughout the match. Both of then tried pinfall every now and then but failed. There were some athletic moves in the match. The fans were entertained by the match.

Much like the first match, the crowd had an equal support with chants of "Sol Ruca, Kelani Jordan". The hype for the match was good and it was Jordan who lived up to her promise as she claimed a win via pinfall. Both women acknowledged each other after the match. While Sol gave it to Jordan for her win, the champion appreciated the fight from the challenger.
