Former WWE digital personality Matt Camp recently revealed that the business considered mentioning All Elite Wrestling daily. Camp worked for WWE from September 2019 to February 2024. The presenter is probably best recognized for his performances on the weekly internet show The Bump. He also appeared on Raw Talk and Talking Smack.

On The Wrestling Matt, Camp stated that discussions regarding rival business AEW nearly occurred in the early days of The Bump. As per Sportskeeda, "This was said to me, 'We're gonna talk about RAW, we're gonna talk about SmackDown, we'll get into NXT, we'll talk about NXT UK, and if it gets to a point where we want to, we may talk about AEW.'"

The Bump mostly focuses on interviews with WWE Superstars. The series premiered on October 2, 2019, the same day as the first episode of AEW Dynamite. WWE's website used to provide results from TNA shows. It also referenced rumors regarding prospective new additions, including AJ Styles, Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows, and Shinsuke Nakamura, in 2016.

I think everybody knows WWE dabbled - Matt Camp

According to Sportskeeda, "I think everybody knows WWE dabbled in that on dot com," Camp added. "They would put up the TNA results and they would aggregate news sites. It was a really weird time. The Ross Report would reference some things from here and there. Brock coming to [WWE] Headquarters with Jerry Jarrett was documented on there even though he didn't come back [at that time]. The Shinsuke stuff with AJ and The Good Brothers before they had officially signed, they addressed those rumors."

Matt Camp recalls the site reporting on Brock Lesnar's visit to WWE headquarters before his re-signing. Jim Ross, a legendary commentator, also addressed non-WWE news on his internet blog. Camp also said that former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon irritated a broadcast crew member following Hell in a Cell 2019.
