From Raw, Gunther and Jey Uso have qualified for the semifinal. From Smackdown, the likes of Tama Tonga and Randy Orton have qualified for the semifinal. In both the matches, the wrestlers have a bit of history in recent times. While Uso competed for the Intercontinental Championship on Raw, Randy faced Tonga in the Backlash 2024 in the street fight.

It is time to predict the potential results of the match.

Gunther vs Jey Uso on Monday Night Raw

It is likely to be the main event of the upcoming episode on the red brand, Gunther returned to Raw after the loss over Sami Zayn in WrestleMania XL and registered his name for the tournament. On the other hand, the participation of Jey itself was not confirmed. The circumstances led to him being a contender. The injury of Drew McIntyre led to Jey replacing him in the tournament.

In the first round, Gunther overcame Sheamus in a banger. Revisiting their rivalry from 2022 and 2023, the two ace wrestlers gave their everything in a gruelling match. Gunther emerged victorious and made it to the second round. Jey won the match against Finn Balor. Drew was not happy with the participation of Jey and came to watch him suffer. Instead, it distracted Balor and helped Uso to win.

In the second round, Gunther faced Kofi Kingston. The latter replaced Xavier Woods and beat Rey Mysterio in the first round. Despite the early domination from the former world champion, the Ring general managed to emerge victorious in the last week. The former member of the Bloodline headlined the main event along with Ilja Dragunov.

The Mad Dragon put on a fight and was about to claim a win before Jey turned clutch with his spear and Uso splashed to claim a win through pinfall. Jey and Gunther will be fired up for their semifinal match. While the former IC Champion is known to produce great matches, Uso must improve in that regard. The match could be a banger and the dominant run of Gunther till now could mean his win in the match.

Randy Orton vs Tama Tonga on Friday Night Smackdown

Randy Orton lost the Backlash 2024 match with Kevin Owens to the Bloodline duo of Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga. The MFT of the Bloodline was full of confidence ahead of his first-round match against Angelo Dawkins. Initially, Bobby Lashley was scheduled to face Tonga. But he pulled out at the last moment. The Viper was up against AJ Styles in the first-round match in the main event of the night.

In the first round, Tonga claimed a win against Dawkins. The members of the Street Profits put on a show before going down to the Bloodline. Due to the numbers game, Dawkins and Montez Ford could not get a win and progress to the second round. On the other hand, Orton and Styles produced a good match in the main event of the night. The duo showed why age is just a number. Despite being well over 44, the duo seemed to be at their prime.

Orton picked up an impressive win after delivering an RKO to the Phenomenal One. In the second round, Tonga was up against LA Knight. Earlier this night, the Bloodline member got a bit of assistance from Solo and Loa who helped him to beat the Megastar. On the other hand, Orton main-evented the night and claimed a win over Carmelo Hayes. The efforts of Melo went in vain as Orton stood tall.

In the upcoming week, Orton and Tonga will be up against each other. In the semifinal match, it will be a good opportunity for Orton to avenge his loss in Backlash 2024 which saw Kevin Owens getting injured. Before the first-round match against Styles, Orton warned Tama that he would not just deliver an RKO from nowhere, but also teach him a lesson. The Apex Predator must be able to win this despite the presence of the Bloodline members.
