LA Knight vs Carmelo Hayes: New feud brewing?

LA Knight might have found his new opponent for the upcoming week. The megastar had a little banter with Carmelo Hayes before the match against Tama Tonga. Knight defeated Santos Escobar in the first round of the King of the Ring. In the second round, he lost to the MFT of the Bloodline, thanks to a bit of assistance from the duo of Solo Sikoa and Tonga Loa.

Prior to the match, the Megastar cut a promo on Friday Night Smackdown where he spoke about the potential victory against the Bloodline, while he regarded the faction to be not close to the dominance they once had at the peak, Melo interrupted the conversation and asked LA to welcome him because he was a draft pick in the first round last month.

Knight felt that the draft pick which does not even matter and said that Melo might be underestimating Randy Orton. Carmelo claimed that after the main event on Smackdown, the most important letters on WWE would not be RKO but HIM. Knight had a dig at Melo and felt he won the Spelling competition. Knight felt it to be a 'stupid cr*p'.

After the match, Knight was angry. Backstage, he kicked a trash can and said it was 3 on 1 in the arena as he had to take on all of the Bloodline. Knight felt that he could not keep eyes on all members of the Bloodline and added that he must keep moving forward. Despite the loss in the King of the Ring, Knight said that he would not quit and felt it to be a defect in him.

LA got injured on his right shoulder during the match due to which there was bleeding. He cursed himself for the loss and took a dig at Hayes. LA regarded him to be a kid and said that nobody cares for draft-round picks. Knight concluded saying that Melo should be happy with the congratulations from his mother.
