Kevin Owens attacked Randy Orton backstage on WWE Smackdown. The star wrestler was probably unhappy with the fact that Randy tried to stop him from attacking Cody and felt it to be Viper teaming up with the world champion. Later in he night, he ended up attacking Randy backstage while Nick Aldis came with the security guards to stop the incident.
Earlier in ther night, Kevin Owens tried to address everyone in the arena. He wanted everyone to know that it was Cody who attacked him and not the other way around. That's when Cody entered the arena and tried to stop KO from uttering anything. Nick Aldis tried to stop a potential brawl between the two.

Randy Orton jumped into the scene as well and tried to stop the duo from a potential brawl. He was successful in stopping Cody from attacking KO. Randy went to KO and tried to stop him. However, Kevin did not listen to him and in turn attacked the Apex Predator himself.

As a reply to it, the Viper delivered KO a punch. His expression meant that he did not do it intentionally but retaliated for KO attacking him. But Owens returend to the locker room through the stands. He sensed the right opportunity to attack Orton later in the night.
Nick appreciated Randy for intervening betwene the two. The duo sent Cody Rhodes into the caravan and asked him to focus on his Crown Jewel match against Gunther. Santos Escobar and the rest of the Legado Del Fantasma members were having a conversation with the Smackdown GM when latter heard something unusual.
When he went towards the other end of the locker room, he saw KO attackinf Orton. He could not help but to ask a but of help from the security guards to stop the brawl. Kevin turned into a menace as he attacked two of his former mates in a matter of a few weeks. His explanation would be worth hearing.
