It's true that LA Knight has been one of the WWE's talents that has gained the greatest momentum in the past year. Notably, the veteran performer appears to be headed for the highest ranks of the largest wrestling organisation in the world after years of refining his craft. Even if AEW's Jim Ross isn't particularly a fan of Knight, a lot of people are.

Notably, the Megastar was dismissed on August 1, 2014, following agreeing to a first WWE developmental contract in May 2013. He continued work in the indies and moved on to have great success with the NWA and TNA. On February 14, 2021, Knight was once again hired by WWE to work for NXT. He returned to the official roster in January 2022.

Jim Ross stated that while WWE officials are huge admirers of Knight, he still hasn't completely accepted the persona in a discussion with his podcast, Grilling JR. The possible Knight vs. Damian Priest rivalry for the World Heavyweight Championship was brought up by co-host Conrad Thompson. In a statement from JR, who concurred with the remarks, a title feud appeared inevitable.

LA Knight is one of the favorites of the [WWE] office: Jim Ross

"LA Knight is one of the favorites of the [WWE] office. I haven't totally bought into his persona, and not to say that in a bad way... I haven't seen him do anything I didn't like, I just gotta feel it more. I gotta feel it more. They gotta do a little bit more character development to get me to buy in to who this dude is, and why I should give a s**t. But, he's got a good future ahead of him, no doubt about that. LA Knight can talk, he can take bumps, he can beat a comeback," Jim Ross said.

"I feel as you are sitting here talking about him, I feel like he [LA Knight] has lost his shine. And Logan Paul... bro, Logan Paul is money, man. Logan Paul is money. You gotta write that, bro, that's money," Vince Russo said.
