Naomi set to challenge Bayley for the Women's Title

Naomi will challenge Bayley for the WWE Women's Championship on the April 19 episode of WWE SmackDown. The match was set up after Naomi defeated Tiffany Stratton on April 12.

The new episode of SmackDown disclosed Bayley's first opponent for the WWE Women's Championship. Notably, Naomi and Tiffany Stratton faced battle. Meanwhile, after defeating IYO SKY, her former stablemate and friend, The Role Model claimed the world title on WrestleMania Night 2. In addition, she chose The Genius of the Sky to face following her victory in the Women's Royal Rumble match this year.

The two superstars thrilled the crowd with their outstanding show at The Grandest Stage of Them All. SmackDown's latest edition highlighted Bayley's debut as the WWE Women's Champion. She praised those who supported her for their unwavering support in a promo in the ring. Eventually, Tiffany Stratton went up to her. Meanwhile, Naomi also showed up, claiming that she was going to battle The Buff Barbie would be able to win the battle for the crown.

Naomi handed Stratton a two-count by hitting him with a leg drop and a dropkick through the match. Naomi subsequently landed a knee strike on Tiffany, almost collapsing again. Naomi avoided Tiffany Stratton's effort for the greatest moonsault ever. She attempted to get the three-count by trying for the jackknife pin. Later, it emerged that Naomi was going to battle for the title against Bayley on SmackDown next week.

Notably, Naomi pinned Stratton to win another bout with her later on in the fight. The next premium live event on the schedule, Backlash, has been set for May 4 in France. However, they weren't clear on the precise moment of that match, but it is expected to take place sooner rather than later.
