The WWE was completely devastated by Chris Benoit's murder-suicide incident. While his wife and kid were discovered dead in a separate room, Chris Benoit was reportedly discovered hanging from a rope at his gym on June 24, 2007. According to the reports, there were allegations on Chris Benoit that he killed his wife and children before hanging himself. After his death, Benoit's MRI scan revealed that he had a serious brain condition. It seemed to be the brain of a 60-year-old man. The amount of concussions Benoit sustained while competing in WWE contests were under scrutiny.

Vince McMahon, though, didn't say anything. WWE avoided remembering him and only issued a statement of condolence the day he passed away. Chris Benoit hasn't been mentioned in a WWE program since. The former Chairman has now commented on Mr. McMahon, the newest Netflix original series based on his life. McMahon immediately refuted any link between Chris Benoit's death and the WWE's usage of steroids. Rather, he continued by blaming Chris Benoit, claiming that it was because humans are fallible.

"There's no correlation between taking steroids and what happened to Chris Benoit, human beigns are flawed. Chris went nuts, it happens in every form of life, that's the only thing I can take away from it, Vince McMahon said per TJR Wrestling.

McMahon went on to dispute the doctor's assertion that Benoit's concussions during his matches, particularly when executing his finisher, had a negative impact on his brain. McMahon called it a total coincidence, claiming that WWE superstars' finishes aren't intended to cause harm to other wrestlers.

Vince McMahon made sure Chris Benoit's name was never mentioned on TV

"This doctor came up with this ridiclous statement of 'Okay here's why Chris Benoit did this'. There was some sort of trauma to his head and things were shown where Chris would dive off the rope and hit someone with his head. That's a complete work. It loook like there's damage and there's not. We know what we're doing, we don't hurt each other," Vince McMahon stated.

The WWE outright forbade chair blows to the head, despite the fact that it remained silent about Benoit's subsequent concussions. Additionally, Vince McMahon made sure Benoit's name was never mentioned on TV. To a certain extent, WWE shunned the news of the star passing away and avoided any communication on the same.
