The Great Khali is one of the mightiest WWE Superstars of all time. The tall wrestler was a force to reckon with in the initial days of his career. He became the first Indian wrestler to become the world champion and was terrifying for his opponents. Given his success in the company, there is room for a biopic that could further inspire a lot of youngsters.
Bollywood is known to make many biopics. But making a biopic of a WWE Superstar would be a different challenge. Khali started his career as a wrestler and went on to join professional wrestling. While traditional wrestling was great, professional wrestling was a different cup of tea. Khali was good in both regards and made India proud at a high level.
The challenge would be to get a tall actor to play Khali. At the moment, Bollywood does not have someone as tall as Dalip Singh Rana (The original name of Khali). However, with the technology, there could be a possibility of an actor playing his character. The story of Khali could indeed be successful given how challenging and entertaining it is.
Who could play Dalip Singh Rana?
Bollywood or the Indian cinema in general does not have an actor who is over 7 foot tall. Neither is there an actor who weighs over 400 pounds. But the best bet to play the role could be Rana Daggubati who played the role of Ballala Deva in the Bahubali duology. He has enough height and the aggressive look required to depict something close to The Great Khali.
Moreover, Rana is a freak in terms of fitness and has great knowledge of WWE and Wrestling. Having someone like him on the team would be invaluable for the makers. As of now, there has not been any plan for Khali's biopic. But in the future, if the plan arrives, Rana could be the closest guy who could pull off the role.
