Bollywood actress Mrunal Thakur has gone viral on social media for her old comments on cricketer Virat Kohli, in which she mentioned that she had a crush on him and was 'madly in love' with him. She made these comments while promoting her film Jersey. After years, the old comment, which frustrated the actress, surfaced on the Internet, and she finally spoke about it, saying, 'Stop It, Okay.'
The Instagram page named Instant Bollywood shared a post where Mrunal was talking about her love for Virat Kohli. They quoted her along with her picture and tagged her, which infuriated the Bollywood actress. While the fans engaged in debate regarding what the comment could mean, it simply meant she didn't want old things to resurface now.
"There was a time when I was madly in love with Virat Kohli. I started liking cricket because of my brother who’s a big fan. I have fond memories of watching a match live at a stadium with him around five years ago. I remember I was wearing a blue jersey and cheering for Team India. Cut to today, I am part of a cricket-based film like Jersey. It is such a happy coincidence," said Mrunal Thakur in an old interview.
Virat Kohli's poor show against spinners in Sri Lanka series
India's series against Sri Lanka was nothing less than a blunder for the Indian team. After 27 years, India's winning streak against Sri Lanka in ODIs broke as they won the series 2-0. In the series, only Rohit Sharma performed well, while all the other batters collapsed in front of the Sri Lankan bowlers.
Similarly, India's one of the best batters, Virat Kohli, had an off-series as he was dismissed by the spinners thrice. Kohli is known to be the best spin player but still couldn't manage to play well in the Island nation. This has sparked controversy in the cricket fraternity about why Kohli failed to perform. However, from here the Indian players will have to play well in the upcoming series or else Gautam Gambhir will be in huge trouble.
