Vince McMahon personally took to X and confirmed the news to the world. He wrote that the case has been closed as nearly three years of investigation from various government agencies could not conclude. He said a lot of speculation was made about what exactly he had to deal with.

"The case is closed. Today, nearly three years of investigation by different governmental agencies have ended. There has been much speculation about what exactly the government was investigating and what the outcome would be," wrote Vince on X. The Attitude Era heel further wrote that none of the accusations were true.

Janel Grant's Lawsuit set to continue for Vince McMahon

The former WWE Boss would still be summoned to trials for his Janel Grant lawsuit. But he can breathe easy about his hush money allegations, with a cost. He will reportedly be paying a total of $1.73 million as legal woes. It was the case that ensured the retirement of McMahon as the CEO of the Stamford-based promotion.

McMahon claimed that the charges were misguided and misleading. He confirmed that there was nothing in the case apart from some minor accounting errors and personal payments. He hoped to put everything behind him and start a new life. The statement has gone viral on social media and the fans are wondering if Vince would be back in the WWE administration.

"As today’s resolution shows, much of that speculation was misguided and misleading. In the end, there was never anything more to this than minor accounting errors concerning some personal payments that I made several years ago while I was CEO of WWE. I’m thrilled that I can now put all this behind me," added Vince.
