Vince McMahon spokesperson issues audacious statement; Judge approves 6-month stay in Janel Grant Lawsuit

The federal judge has been overseeing the Janel Grant civil suit against Vince McMahon, John Laurinatis, and World Wrestling Entertainment, which has been agreed to stay for over six months from now on.

The federal judge has been overseeing the Janel Grant civil suit against Vince McMahon, John Laurinatis, and World Wrestling Entertainment, which has been agreed to stay for over six months from now on. Notably, the judge ruled the civil suit would pause until December 11, 2024. However, the District Court of New York had earlier asked Grant to pause her this month. However, the US government was concerned due to the ongoing suit it could disrupt the criminal investigation into Vince and the grand jury that has been reported since June 2023.

On the other hand, the judge also disregarded several times the arbitration filed by the defendants while asking and hearing to have the complaint moulded from the court to private arbitration per the non-closure agreement. However, later, the judge revealed that the defendants could re-file their motions within two weeks of the case consuming in December when he was asked about the legal team.

Meanwhile, Vince McMahon has responded to the U.S. Department of Justice launching a federal probe into his work, which has also seen Janel Gran's lawsuit put on hold. Grant agreed to postpone her lawsuit against McMahon, WWE, and John so that Justice could look into the business dealings.

Mr McMahon is eager to prove Ms Grant’s claims are false and expose her lies

A spokesperson for Vince McMahon issued this statement to Wrestlenomics on Tuesday:

"Mr McMahon is eager to prove Ms Grant’s claims are false and expose her lies but did not object to the government’s request to pause the matter in connection with the investigation regarding disclosures at WWE. Following the six-month stay, when his legal team is able to get discovery and depose Ms Grant and others, the evidence will show the relationship was consensual and Ms Grant’s allegations are malicious fabrications of a jilted lover."

Meanwhile, The parties involved previously agreed to pause the suit while the federal investigation of the matter continued. Janel Grant filed her lawsuit against McMahon, WWE, and John Laurinaitis, on January 25. She alleged that McMahon and John Laurinaitis engaged in sexual assault and sexual trafficking of her.
