Goldberg's retirement match is scheduled to take place on July 12, 2025 on Saturday Night's Main Event against Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship. There could be unique scenarios for the match, although Gunther stars as the firm favorite to win. There could also be a case for Seth Rollins cashing in his MITB Contract to make the most of the situation.
The buildup to their match began at WWE Bad Blood 2024 when Gunther went against Goldberg in a promo and pi*sed him off in front of his family. Months later, the former world champion revisited the feud and set a match against the Ring General on SNME in what would be the last match of his career.

On the latest episode of WWE Raw, Goldberg addressed Gunther and had the last laugh, which suggests the world champion to have a slight upper hand in his match. It makes sense for Gunther to beat Goldberg in his final match, as he will be active in the company. However, one should not be surprised if WWE books the match in a different way.
Potential sceanrios for Gunter vs Goldberg match at Saturday Night's Main Event
The best case scenario would be to let Gunther beat Goldberg clean in a little under 2-3 minutes, which would imply the veteran's time is up. Following the match, Goldberg speaking to the fans and saying a Goodbye could be a fitting way to book his match. However, that becomes predictable and is a norm of retiring wrestlers.
To try something different, WWE could try different methods and make the match interesting. One such ways to do it would be to have Seth Rollins, the Mr. Money in the Bank interfere in the match and try to cash in his contract to make the most of the situation. However, that would mean Goldberg potentially having an unfinished business.

There could also be an interesting case where Seth fails to cash-in his MITB contract, thanks to the interference from Penta, Jey Uso, and LA Knight. That would ensure enough drama in the match and ensure Gunther to thrive in the chaos. It would mean a good booking with enough spice added for the match.
In all cases, Gunther beating Goldberg seems only valid. Goldberg's win might be rarity, although Seth cashing in his contract on him seems an interesting idea. However, Seth's cash in would be better against someone with whom he could have an extended feud in the months to come.
