Grayson Waller took to X and gave a controversial opinion on Cody Rhodes and his story. Ahead of the upcoming episode of Friday Night Smackdown, the Australian wrestler said he cannot wait for the people to wake up from their false imagination and realize that Cody has always been the bad guy in his story. While Waller did not refer to anything, he wrote what he wanted to.

"I can’t wait for the day people wake up and realize that Cody Rhodes has always been the bad guy in the 'story'," wrote Waller on X. The statement of Waller received mixed opinions from the fans. Many trolled him for his opinion and asked what he had done in the company till that point to run his mouth against an accomplished star like the American Nightmare.

While one sect of the fans believed he was wrong, the other sect has been believing he was right. They claimed that Cody was a paper champion who took the title away from Roman Reigns. Some felt Cody was a boring champion with not-so-exciting feuds so far. Some of the fans pointed out that Grayson was the bad guy in his story with Austin Theory.

Kayfabe or real stance?

It is not sure if Waller meant what he wrote on X. After all, he wrote it just hours to go for the latest episode of Friday Night Smackdown. It could be to heat the upcoming episode in the absence of Roman. Waller posted the image of Cody with Kevin Owens and indicated that the latter was not the bad guy in the story. There could be a reply from Rhodes for the statement of Waller.

On Smackdown, Cody is set to go face-to-face with Kevin for the contract signing of their match at Bash in Berlin. Owens agreed to the title shot after Nick Aldis and Rhodes teased a potential rematch with Roman. There could be a segment where Cody could address Grayson. The fans could get a clear idea if it was an attempt from Waller to irk Cody's character in WWE or his personality in real life.
