WATCH: Fans express anger as Naomi loses to 'jobber' Blair Davenport in her hometown on Smackdown

Fans took to X and other social media handles to express their anger on Naomi losing to Blair Davenport in her hometown in Orlando in the latest episode of Smackdown. The fact that Naomi lost to Blair clean did not sit well with the hometown fans. It was a squash match with little to nothing interesting to watch. The fans did not anticipate Naomi to lose clean in her backyard.

There can be a case about fans being upset. Before she entered into the main roster, Blair was a jobber in NXT. She lost a lot of matches before getting a Smackdown call. Additionally, she does not have a great finisher which could make the viewers believe it could ensure the wrestlers not to kick out. Triple H has been getting the heat for making Naomi lose since then.

Usually, wrestlers manage to pick up a win in their hometown unless it is Drew McIntyre. The fans might not be wrong in their opinion, as the creative team could have let Naomi win in her hometown and Davenport win in the upcoming weeks. Due to the pinfall after a weak finisher, the fans let out a negative reaction even in the stadium.

Will Naomi turn her heel?

One might have to wonder why Naomi has been on a losing streak for a while now. It could build for a good payoff when she gets over the fans and has a shot at the world title. During the Women's Money in the Bank, she was one of the highlights who won the spot light. Someone as good as Naomi deserves to be treated better. Maybe, Naomi could turn heel in the upcoming days.

There is also a possibility of a female Bloodline. The company has several wrestlers belonging to the Samoan Family like Ava (The GM of NXT), Nia Jax, and Naomi herself. There is a chance of Kaoz Fatu and Kona Fatu signing a contract with WWE in the upcoming days. In such a case, Naomi might be a great addition to the faction.
