Ethan Page remained the NXT Champion as he beat Joe Hendry at NXT No Mercy despite the chaos surrounding Trick Williams. Pete Dunne came up with a surprising attack after Page beat Hendry for the title. Williams was forced to count pins as Joe was done against Page who had the last laugh against both Trick and the TNA star.

Trick Williams was the first to enter. He got a thunderous welcome from the fans. As Joe entered the arena, the fans sang his song. Ethan Page was booed by the fans. As fans chanted "Whoop That Trick", Ethan did not like it and went after Trick. However, the guest referee reminded him that his match was with Hendry. The bell rang and Page went against Hendry.

The fans rallied Joe Hendry with the chants of "We believe". The chants of "Ethan sucks" meant they supported Hendry throughout. Ethan gave back to the fans with his attack on Joe. At the start of the match, he had the upper hand over the NXT star. Hendry tried to hang in the match. He returned to the fight with a superplex through the corner of the ring.

Pete Dunne attacks Trick Williams

The match got intense with each passing minute. Hendry seemed like having an advantage after he delivered a Standing Ovation. Just when he was about to win via pinfall, Trick recognized that Page's leg was outside the apron. Joe wasn't happy with it and argued with Trick. Ethan Page pushed Joe leading to Trick being taken out of the ring.

He then replied with a Standing Ovation of his own. A new referee came out but Hendry kicked out at two. As Page went for the pinfall, Trick stopped the referee from counting three reminding him that he was still the referee for the match. Page smashed Trick in anger and delivered a low blow to Hendry. He then pulled off his finisher to claim a win via pinfall. After the match, Dunne attacked Williams.
