Ava Raine declared a Triple Threat Match for tonight's NXT to determine who would face NXT Champion Ethan Page at No Mercy, following several celebrities throwing their names into the ring for a chance to win the NXT Championship. The three stars, Pete Dunne, Joe Hendry of TNA, and Wes Lee, would square off for a crack at the Page's Championship. Throughout, the three performers put on some very amazing moves. Page watched the proceedings from the sidelines, but at one point he felt compelled to intervene and call for the referee just as Hendry was about to win.

After Ethan Page continued interfering and costing Hendry a second victory, Trick Williams exacted revenge and assisted Hendry in winning, thereby establishing Page vs. Hendry as NXT No Mercy. Lee and Dunne both attacked Hendry right away and then turned on each other before the bell sounded, but Hendry came back and pushed Dunne out of the ring before grabbing Lee and smashing him down.

Henry delivered a vertical suplex to Dunne before being hammered with a barrage of blows and a dropkick from Lee. Dunne got back into it and pushed Lee down before returning to Hendry and stamping on his hand. Dunno and Hendry traded loud chops, while Lee also ate a big chop from Dunne. Lee reversed a move but was then blasted into Dunne's family jewels by a terrific move by Hendry, sending Livvy Dunne to tumble to the floor. Lee landed with a monster kick on Dunne, and Hendry slammed both to the ground after climbing over top.

Joe Henry became furious and was struck with a slam by Dunne

Back in the ring, Lee and Dunne fought for a while before Henry returned to the fight, but Dunne connected with some powerful strikes on Hendry to regain control. Dunne tossed Lee out of the ring and focused his attention on Hendry, who began pounding back with blows and clotheslines. Joe Henry used a clothesline to take out Lee and Dunne before hitting them with fallaway slams.

Henry shoved Lee down onto the announce table immediately after, evidently enraged by Page's attempts at sabotage. In the ring, Hendry struck Dunne with the slam again and attempted the pin, but Page prevented the second official from entering the ring. Henry became furious and was struck with a slam by Dunne, but Trick Williams hit the Bitter End on Dunne and drew the referee back in, giving Hendry the victory and a title opportunity at No Mercy.
