WATCH: Emotional Jey Uso embraces Jimmy Uso after beating Gunther to become World Heavyweight Champion at WrestleMania 41

Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso shared an emotional moment at WrestleMania 41. Jey forced Gunther to tap out on his Sleeper Lock and became the new World Heavyweight Champion to start Night 1. Jimmy showed up and celebrated his twin brother's win with a hug. Jey took revenge against the Ring General, who brutally attacked Jimmy on WWE Raw a few weeks ago.

The match between Jey and Gunther was not particularly great. In the first few minutes, Gunther tried to gain control over his opponent with a series of chops and was able to do so. The Bloodline star did not give up and delivered a spear. However, he could not gain the pinfall, as the Imperium star kicked out at two.

Gunther delivered a chop and followed it up with a Powerbomb. Jey returned soon with a Samoan Drop and went for a Frog Splash. But the Ring General countered it with a Superplex of his own. He then delivered a powerbomb and went for a pinfall. Jey stayed alive by kicking out at two.

Jey Uso becomes the second WWE Superstar to tap Gunther out after Ilja Dragunov

The former NXT UK star went for yet another powerbomb, but Jey was attentive and reversed it with a Hurricanrana and delivered a spear. He then delivered a frog splash and went for a pinfall. Gunther successfully kicked out at two and saved the match for himself.

The Ring General realized it wasn't easy for him to overcome Jey and hence used a foul trick. He used his belt as a weapon, delivered a frog splash, and held on to the sleeper lock. Jey stayed alive, and the referee forced Gunther to remove the lock with a count of 5. 

The Imperium star was caught off guard as his challenger took a series of chops and laughed at him. He went for a sleeper hold, which was countered with a suplex. The Ring General delivered a dinosaur drop-kick and received a counter powerbomb. Jey delivered a superkick, a spear, and 3 frog splashes in a row. He then executed the sleeper lock and claimed a win via submission.
