Gunther, the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, has formally agreed to a new contract with the company, which includes a significant improvement in travel accommodations. Gunther disclosed on The Ariel Helwani Show that the deal included a private tour van, which is usually only given to high-profile celebrities like Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns.

"I agreed to a new [WWE] contract that included [a tour bus]."  "That's what I requested," Gunther stated at  The Ariel Helwani show.  "What you don't ask for, you don't get."  WWE's perception of Gunther appears to be reflected in the fact that they accepted his request for a tour bus. Their current World Heavyweight Champion, who has particular concessions built into their contracts, is at the top of the talent hierarchy.

Gunther defeated Damian Priest to win the world title last year at the SummerSlam event. He became the longest-reigning IC champion in WWE history and had a record-breaking run with the WWE Intercontinental Championship before becoming the global champion. Over time, things have drastically altered for Gunther. He was content working abroad and being near his Austrian home not so long ago, so he nearly skipped WWE.

I see a big future here for you - Triple H before signing Gunther

In an interview, Gunther revealed that Triple H was the one who finally persuaded him to sign with WWE.  "When there's an opportunity and everybody jumps at it at the same time... it gives me a weird feeling. I was like, man, maybe I sit this out first and see how it goes," he said. "It worked out in the end, but Hunter was always the guy that said... 'Hey man, I see a big future here for you, and if you want to do it, then I'm on board.'" He called himself a Triple H guy.

Next week, Gunther will compete against Jey Uso for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at. Las Vegas will host WrestleMania on April 19 and 20.
