A fresh new lawsuit has been filed alleging Vince McMahon of knowingly allowing sexual assault and abuse of children by the employees in WWE, back in the year 1980s. It came to notice that the lawsuit was filed on behalf of the five WWE former 'Ring Boys,' alleging McMahon, his wife Linda, and TKO Group Holdings which was the parent company of WWE. It is said that the TKO Group knowingly allowed the former ringside announcer Melvin Phillips Jr. to use his position and assault teenage boys of 12 or 13 years of age.
“Phillips lured and manipulated the young boys with promises of meeting famous wrestlers and attending the highly popular wrestling shows, experiences that were otherwise unattainable for these kids. The McMahons and the WWE allowed Phillips and others to engage in, and foster, the WWE’s rampant culture of sexual abuse," the lawsuit read.
The suit was filed in Baltimore County, Maryland. It claims that Phillips used to hire children as 'Ring Boys' to help him run errands and set up the stage for WWE event. The job title was a facade that Phillips used to use to hide his deeds. It has been alleged that Phillips would do it not just in hiding but also in front of executives and wrestlers in the locker room. The suit also adds up on video recordings that were done by the former announcer of him assaulting the young kids.
As per reports,
had fired Phillips previously owing to this knowledge of Phillips abusing the young boys in 1988. But, six weeks later, Phillips was rehired back to his position on the condition that he would stay away from the kids. Nevertheless, he did not and McMahon let it happen and did not take any further action on the same.

McMahon's Secrets and Settlements

The tragedy of the lawsuit is that no one has been criminally charged yet for this crime. It took years of trauma and suffering for the 'Ring Boys' to step up and speak about the heinous crime that was committed years ago. Linda McMahon stepped down as CEO in 2009. Furthermore, there have been serious allegations of sexual assault against McMahon as well. In the year 2022, McMahon stepped down as CEO of WWE. Following this, he paid a multimillion-dollar settlement amount to Rita Chatterton, on a case of sexual assault. Previously, as per reports by Wall Street Journal, it is said that McMahon paid more than 12 Million Dollars to four women to cover up his 'allegations of sexual misconduct'.
