Cody Rhodes successfully defended the world title against AJ Styles in an 'I Quit Match' at the Clash at the Castle. The American Nightmare was determined to beat Styles who caused a lot of trouble for him in the last few weeks. The entrances of both wrestlers were amazing. As AJ Styles entered the arena, the fans booed. It was totally different for Cody, as the fans sang his song even after it stopped. 

Cody dominated the first few minutes of the match. He seemed to have the control over the match. But AJ Styles soon returned and asserted his domination in the match. He delivered a suplex and a brainbuster through the ring and troubled the American Nightmare. Styles forced Rhodes to say Quit. But the world champion was adamant and did not agree to give up.

The fans booed Styles throughout the match and chanted "Fu*k you AJ". The match continued with both wrestlers working inside the stands and the locker room. A few minutes into the match, Cody Rhodes started to bleed. As the fans came up with chants of "We want table," the duo did not disappoint. Styles damaged the world champion by hitting him through a steel chair.

Rhodes refused to quit. The fans were totally behind the world champion and sang for him. Styles started to hit Cody with a cane. Despite the torture, the American Nightmare did not give up. AJ started to hit Rhodes through a belt and came up with an ankle lock. Rhodes fell unconscious but refused to quit. AJ hit Rhodes with a water bottle and a handcuff.

Styles handcuffed the World Champion and brutally hit him with a cane but Cody still refused to quit. Styles tried to get into Cody's head by trying to have a banter with his mother only to be slapped by her. Cody released the handcuff and hit Styles with a steel chair. The fans chanted "This is Awesome" and "One more time" as Cody smashed Styles with the handcuff.

Cody delivered a Cody cutter and two Cross Rhodes in a row. Rhodes handcuffed Styles to one side of the ring and hit him with a steel chair. As AJ refused to quit, Cody tried to hit him with the steel stage. The Phenomenal One finally quit and Cody claimed a win. The world champion delivered what he promised - Make Styles say "I Quit".
