Jannik Sinner seemed nearly invincible in a high-quality match against Alexander Zverev, which saw him win 6-4, 6-3 at the ATP Finals 2025. After the match, Zverev claimed that he performed better against Sinner than the score suggested. The 2-time ATP Finals winner claimed that such instances happen when someone like Sinner seems to have an invincible outing.

Following his loss to Sinner, Zverev wasn't sad at all, as he knew the Italian was extremely brilliant in the match. He felt that Sinner served unbelievably well, played extremely well from the baseline, moved well, and hit forehands and backhands well.

"The score was 6-4, 6-3, but in my opinion, I felt like the match was closer than the score may say. I thought it was a very high-level match. This is how it is sometimes. Sometimes when he's having a day like this, where he's serving unbelievable... His biggest strength is, of course, how he plays from the baseline, how he moves, how he hits forehands, and how he hits backhands," Zverev said.

"When he's serving like this, it's even more difficult," - Alexander Zverev

He added that Sinner's serve was too lethal against him. The German noted how the ATP World No.2 secured seven points from break and first serve each. He noted that there was practically no rally in the match at all and felt all he did was possibly hit a few forehand winners and returns.

"Sometimes when he's serving like this, it's even more difficult because, as you said, seven break points, seven first serves, not one second serve I had. I was not even in the rally at all. I think I made one return. He hit a forehand winner. So yeah, it's difficult like this," Zverev added.
