When asked about his mindset in the tournament, Musetti claimed it to be that of a warrior.

While Musetti won the first set 7-5, he lost the second set 3-6, which led to the match heading to the decider. It seemed to be a gone case for Musetti, who was down 2-5 at one stage in the last set. However, he made an epic comeback to win it 7-5.

The Italian was called up for the tournament on short notice as Novak Djokovic pulled out. However, he has played well in the event so far. Following his win over De Minaur, Musetti spoke about the challenges and the circumstances in which he has been in the ongoing tournament.

"I know how difficult the match against Carlos is," - Lorenzo Musetti

Speaking about his mindset, Lorenzo claimed it to be that of a warrior. He claimed to have improved mentally and was pushing himself harder, given that all the players in the tournament are ranked higher than him. He claimed the challenge against Carlos is tough in the playing conditions in Turin.

"Of a warrior. I think I improved a lot on the mental side. Of course, I'm pushing myself to the limit. I'm playing every match with the top players. I knew that. The next one coming is against Carlos.. So I know how difficult it is.. Especially in these conditions. I'll try to enjoy and fight like I've done today," Musetti said.
