After the match, he claimed it to be the most euphoric he has ever felt on a Tennis court, thanks to the crowd's support and his comeback.
In a tournament where all players were ranked higher than him, Musetti registered a win when not many expected him to. Speaking about his match, Musetti claimed that at one point, he was struggling a lot physically. He noted that his opponent raised his level and intensity, which only made his life difficult.

"Honestly, yes. I think today, at a certain point of the match, I was really struggling physically. Alex raised the level and intensity. I was struggling to find solutions," Musetti said as he said it was difficult for him to find solutions in many instances in the match.

However, he later added that his passion for the game and a big heart led to his turnaround. In the third set, he was 2-4 and 2-5 down and went on to win it 7-5. Musetti felt the crowd's support brought the best from him and thanked them for the same.

"But then with a big heart, with big passion for this game.. I don't know from where.. I started to feel better and to play better. The support of the crowd is literally amazing. I have to thank them all," Musetti added in his statement.
