The World No. 1 player beat the World No.2 by 4-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 to win his first Grand Slam outside the Hard Court. In the process, he ended Alcaraz's winning streak of 24 matches and unbeaten run at Wimbledon since 2023.
The match started on a good note for both players, more so for Alcaraz, who won the first set 6-4. The tide turned from the second set when Sinner brought his A game with a strong backhand and serves. The Italian returned better, seemed to be at his best, and grew in confidence after winning every point.

Alcaraz had too many unforced errors and was frustrated with himself as things were not going as he would have liked. Many double faults meant Sinner had an indirect advantage. In the second set, despite a tough fight, Alcaraz lost 4-6. From there, Sinner showed no signs of giving an easy point, which made Alcaraz's life difficult.

In the third and fourth sets, Sinner dictated the terms and forced Alcaraz to slow down his pace. It was all easy for the top seed for the rest of the game, who seemed under no pressure and used his momentum to great advantage to clinch the last two sets 6-4 and 6-4 each.

By doing so, he became the first Italian to win a Men's Singles title at Wimbledon. To do it with odds against him was fantastic, as Alcaraz was unbeaten at Wimbledon since 2023 and hadn't lost to the Italian for over a year, and had a winning streak of 24 matches.
