The two tennis star players decided to take some time for themselves after their Miami Open 2025 campaign, where they both had disappointing outings. Tsitsipas suffered a shocking third-round defeat against Sebastian Korda. On the other hand, Badosa was stellar in Florida, but her injury in the fourth round forced her to retire, which allowed Alexandra Eala to storm into the quarter-finals.

Meanwhile, Paula Badosa seems to be in great form this year; however, her injury has ruled her out of many tournaments. The Spanish star has made it to the semi-finals of the Australian Open 2025, where she ultimately faltered against Aryna Sabalenka. After that, her boyfriend, Stefanos Tsitsipas, talked about how Badoa's first Grand Slam of the year run has encouraged him.

"Her success gives me a lot of motivation. With her run I thought, ‘If she can do it, why can't I?’ That’s how I look at it. I learned a lot from this process of how to get to a Grand Slam semi-final. I felt privileged that I could give her some small advice to help her en route to the semi-finals. She gave me the freedom to give some feedback and tips. Through my advice to her, I also learned things about myself in terms of tennis and how I see the court and how I approach my own game. It pushes me on," he said (via ATP Tour).
