Tennis sensation Alexandra Eala has made all kinds of history with her breathtaking performances at the Miami Open 2025 in the last two weeks. Even though the prestigious event is over, the 19-year-old tennis sensation has not stopped shattering records.

After making it to the semi-finals of the Miami Open 2025 in Florida, the 19-year-old teenage sensation has risen from world number 140 to number 75 on the new WTA rankings. And with that, Eala has become the first-ever woman from the Philippines to break into the Top 100 since WTA rankings began in 1975.

Alexander Eala made bold headlines in Miami when she defeated 2017 French Open winner Jelena Ostapenko in the second round of the marquee event. After that, the 19-year-old star player stunned 2025 Australian Open champion Madison Keys in the third round.

Surprisingly, Pauda Badoa's grave injuries allowed her to seal the direct quarter-final spot. Eala kept her winning run and defeated five-time Grand Slam winner Iga Swiatek in the quarter-final before she ultimately lost to Jessica Pegula in the semi-finals.

After her stunning run in the prestigious event, Alexandra Eala took to Instagram and penned down a heartfelt note for her fans and reflected upon her Miami Open journey.

“Wow, this year's Miami Open has left me speechless and so full of emotion, mostly pride and gratitude. I'm proud of myself for pushing through those tough moments, as well as to have been able to make a statement for the Philippines in one of the biggest stages of tennis. Moreover, I'm thankful for all the positivity coming my way, and I pray that you all continue sending support through the highs and lows," Alexandra Eala wrote on Instagram.
