Novak Djokovic has ‘completed tennis’ with his recent triumph at the Paris Olympics 2024. He defeated Carlos Alcaraz in the men's singles final to add the only missing gold medal to his overflowing trophy cabinet. The 24-time Grand Slam champion thus became the fifth player in history to complete the Career Golden Slam.

Djokovic's glittering career now highlights 10 Australian Open titles, 3 Roland Garros trophies, 7 Wimbledon titles, 4 US Open trophies, 7 wins at the ATP Tour Finals, 2 Career Golden Masters, 1 Davis Cup, 1 Olympics title and 1 Golden Slam.

While the 37-year-old proved that he is a wizard on the court and that there is nothing he can't do in the game, it also saw him stepping into a new field. Djokovic was never off the news since his success in Paris as he continued to grab the spotlight with his celebrations. Recently, he was spotted in Croatia celebrating the historic victory with his wife Jelena.

To honour the legend’s gold medal win, a pair of musicians organised an ‘impromptu concert’ at a church. Interestingly, Djokovic also tried his hands at viola when he joined musician Julian Rachiln to play a duet.

“What an epic night! Last night, Sarah McElravy @saritaexplores and I played an impromptu concert for the amazing @djokernole to celebrate his Olympic gold medal!,” Rachiln wrote in his Instagram post.

“And guess what? Novak grabbed Sarah’s viola and ended up playing a little duet with me! Who knew he had such talent? Could we be witnessing the future of Novak Djokovic as a world-class VIOLIST?,” the Lithuanian violist added.

Djokovic's viola playing reflects his new celebration

Djokovic developed a new celebration after winning matches during his Wimbledon 2024 campaign. He was seen holding his tennis racket like a violin, miming bowing the strings. He later revealed that the musical gesture was for his six-year-old daughter, who is currently learning the violin.

“That was for Tara. My daughter has been playing violin for some time already, six months, and we agreed that I would celebrate that way,” the Serbian said in a post-match interview.
