WATCH: Novak Djokovic celebrates with Serbian team after historic Olympic Gold medal win

The Paris Olympics saw the historic day where they finally saw former World number one and 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic win an Olympic gold medal in Paris. This was a great performance from the 37-year-old legend, who had finally won the only prize, which was missing from his cabinet for a long time. This was a really emotional moment for the Serbian who was still recovering from his knee injury throughout this tournament.

The Serbian legend was still up against one of the best players in the setup right now who was none other than Carlos Alcaraz. There was no doubt that Carlos was equally a favourite participating in the gold medal contest against Novak Djokovic in the final game. This was also a rare straight-set victory against someone like Alcaraz where Djokernole got the better of the Spaniard in both the tiebreakers. This was another day where we saw Djokovic rise above the rest and finally achieve the dream that had been eluding him for a long time.

The fans and Djokovic himself were visibly excited after achieving this great feat in his 5th appearance in the Olympics. Seeing Djokovic carry the Serbian flag on his shoulders is also a great sight to witness for everyone after this incredible performance from the legend himself.

This was something Djokovic needed since he was having one of his worst seasons as well, where he had failed to win a title and could only manage to reach one Wimbledon final where he lost to Alcaraz. This Olympic Gold will be another highlight of his career which could also be the last Olympic event he had been featuring. All we can say is that Djokovic has finally completed the career Gold slams where he has now won every major prize and title in his incredible 19-year career.
