Novak Djokovic's stellar Monte Carlo run bids for his third historic title

Notably, Novak Djokovic has marked his return to the Monte Carlo Masters 1000 tournament. The Serbian legend has two titles to his name, which he clinched in 2013 and 2015. The 24-time Grand Slam winner will be looking to win his third title here and will be etching his name in the history books.

During the Miami Open 2025 semi-final win over Grigor Dimitrov, he opened up about his hunger to mark his 100th ATP title win since winning the gold medal in the Paris Olympics 2024.

“Ever since I won my 99th, which was the Olympic Games in Paris, I've been playing with the prospect of winning the special hundred titles. I played the finals in Shanghai. I was close there. Semi-finals of Australia,” Djokovic said after defeating Grigor Dimitrov in Miami.

Carlos Alcaraz eyes his first Monte Carlo title

On the other hand, Carlos Alcaraz is all set to be back in the action after his disappointing first-round exit from the recently concluded Miami Open 2025. The four-time Grand Slam winner is yet to win a title here and will be leaving no stone unturned in doing that. The tournament marks his second time in the Monte Carlo Masters. The first time was when Sebastian Korda thwarted him in the second round back in 2022.
