Despite the stunning win on Thursday morning and being one of the strongest contenders to hold the title, the 23-year-old tennis star admitted that not everything in her career has gone as smoothly as she has recently served the one-month doping ban last year after testing positive. In addition, world number two is still facing a strong backlash from the tennis fraternity over the doping saga.

After her impressive victory in the second round of the 2025 Australian Open, Iga Swiatek was invited to pose questions in the press conference, and the Poland-born star was asked about her most embarrassing moment on the court.

In the same vein, Swiatek revealed that she had cried a lot, which was the most embarrassing moment for her, and she failed to play tennis. However, the twist came when she further revealed that she only went on the court with toilet paper sticking to her legs during the Indian Wells.

“I cried plenty of times. Yeah, it was a bit embarrassing. I had a match when I cried for ten minutes, I think. I wasn't able to just play tennis, you know. Also, I went out on court once in Indian Wells with toilet paper sticking to my leg off my skirt. That was also embarrassing," Iga Swiatek said after her 2nd round win in the Australian Open 2025.
