Meanwhile, Iga Swiatek was last seen in action at the Miami Open 2025. The star player looked magnificent after her blistering fourth-round win over Elina Svitolina, which allowed her to storm into the quarterfinals. However, the world number two failed to carry her red-hot form into the next game.

The 19-year-old young sensation Alexandra Eala made history after toppling this five-time Grand Slam champion in the quarterfinal. Alexandra, who was out of the top 100 WTA ranks, placed herself at world number 73 after winning over the Polish star.

Iga Swiatek reflected on her stellar fourth round win

"It was much tougher to problem-solve, especially because Elina was also putting on some pressure. I needed to adjust, and I’m happy that I picked the right moments at the end to play more aggressively, and sometimes I was more patient," Swiatek said in her on-court interview.
