Tennis star Alexandra Eala has recently spoken about world number two Iga Swiatek attending her graduation ceremony at Rafa Nadal Academy. Notably, the teenage sensation went to Spain at the age of just 13 to train her game, considering her nation does not have any facility to become a WTA star.

The 19-year-old star player has admitted that they both knew each other, being professional WTA stars in the tennis world. The Philippines star hailed the world number two's legacy and stated that she felt so lucky to meet the five-time Grand Slam winner on such a prestigious occasion at Rafa Nadal Academy.

“She was like, 'Oh, I know you.’ I was like, ‘yes, she knows me'!" She did the whole ceremony with the class. She tossed the hat. I felt so lucky I was beside her," Alexandra Eala said in the video.

Alexandra Eala defeated Iga Swiatek in the Miami Open 2025 quarterfinals.

Notably, the two stars were last seen in the Miami Open 2025 tournament. In a shocking event, the 19-year-old star player defeated Iga Swiatek in a quarter-final clash to storm into the semi-final. However, Eala failed to overcome the resilience and dominance of Jessica Pegula and ended her thrilling Miami Open 2025 run.

Surprisingly, she got the direct spot in the quarterfinals after Paula Badosa retired in the fourth round due to injury. However, she made the bold headlines when she defeated five-time Grand Slam winner Iga Swiatek in the quarterfinals and made it to the first-ever WTA 1000 tournament.
