WATCH: ‘I want to Thank Myself!’ – Mirra Andreeva’s ‘Snoop Dogg’ speech lights up Dubai Open 2025

Russia’s Mirra Andreeva clinched her first WTA title in Dubai Open 2025 after defeating Denmark's Clara Tauson. She is now the youngest WTA 1000 winner at just 17 years of age. Mirra beat Clara Tauson in 2 straight sets 7-6(1), 6-1 in the Dubai Open 2025 finals. This is her maiden title win and the fifth maiden title winner at Dubai Open 2025. Previously WTA players like Venus Williams, Elina Svitolina, Barbora Krejcikova and Jasmine Paolini won their maiden titles in the same tournament.

She defeated three grand slam winners Iga Swiatake, Elena Rybakina, and Marketa Vondrousova. Earlier it was all trouble for the 17-year-old Russian girl, as Tauson was ahead 2-0. But Mirra then fought back and equalled with 2-2. Then she won the tiebreaker winning it by 6 points. After being completely dominated by Mirra, Clara Tauson took some medical timeout during the second set and threw her racquet on the ground in frustration and anger. 

In the second set, Andreeva again dominated Tauson by winning it 6-1 and clinched the WTA 1000 title. She already scripted history and could soon become a grand slam winner if she continues the same form for the rest of the year.

WATCH: Mirra Andreeva's 'Snoop Dogg' Style Speech

After winning the Dubai Open 2025 WTA 1000 title, Mirra Andreeva gave a hilarious victory speech that was like Snoop Dogg. This victory speech made the entire crowd go crazy in laughter but Andreeva made her point pretty clear. Though she sounded like the rapper, it was all true.

The world's popular Rap Singer gave a funny speech when he was inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He made everyone laugh by saying “I wanna Thank me for everything.” Mirra Andreeva gave a speech similar to Snoop Dogg.

Andreeva said “I’d like to thank me. I know what I have been dealing with and I just wanna thank me for always believing in me and so I'm just really happy that I could manage and deal with the pressure. And now it just feels amazing. This is something I dreamt of and now my dream came true so I'm just, I'm speechless right now. Lastly, I want to thank myself for never quitting and always believing in myself.”

Mirra Andreeva could be the next big thing in WTA tennis like Serena Williams, Maria Sharapova, Ashleigh Barty, Aryna Sabalenka and Iga Swiatek. The Russian’s career is just starting and many people say this is one of the greatest wins in tennis history.
