Sara Errani and Andrea Vavassori successfully defended their US Open Mixed Doubles title in 2025. The Italian pair became the first duo to defend their US Open Mixed Doubles titles since Bethanie Mattek-Sands and Jamie Murray in 2019. They overcame Iga Swiatek and Casper Ruud in the final by 6–3, 5–7, [10–6] to defend their title.
The US Open committee decided to attract the major Singles players around the world to take part in the Mixed Doubles events in 2025 with weird draws, changes of rules, and an increase in Prize money. Most of the major Singles players, who had never won a Mixed Doubles title at the US Open, got wild-card entries.

The bias was so strong that the defending champions, Errani and Vavassori, were the only players from the established teams to get a spot in the initial draw. It was the same team that managed to win the title and proved why it is important to have team bonding, which could overcome some of the best players in the world.
US Open Mixed Doubles winners from 2021 to 2025
From 2021 to 2023, there were three different winners in the US Open Mixed Doubles event. Desirae Krawczyk and Joe Salisbury won it in 2021, while Storm Sanders and John Peers won the title the following year. In 2023, it was Anna Danilina and Harri Heliovaara's opportunity to win the title. In 2024 and 2025, Vavassori and Errani were the champions.
