On the 19th and the 20th of September, the mixed doubles and the qualifying rounds for the Singles will take place. The US Open association has done everything to woo the popular singles star to be a part of the Mixed Doubles, including a change in some of its rules. As a result, many top singles star are also taking part in the Mixed Doubles.

The Mixed doubles will have a maximum of 4 games in a set per a team, no ad-scoring, and a tiebreker of 10 points in case of a tied result. However, the final will remain 6 games in a set. The shortened format has meant that the entire Mixed Doubles event will be completed in just two days.
