One of the greatest Tennis players of all time, part of the men's big three, an Olympic champion, and a 24-time Grand Slam winner, Novak Djokovic met Chinese F1 Driver Zhou Guanyu from Stake F1 Team during the Rolex Shanghai Masters 2024. The F1 driver delighted the Serbian legend with a miniature replica of his 2024 Shanghai GP special edition helmet.

Guanyu deciphered the cultural significance of the gift

Guanyu made sure to explain the cultural significance of his helmet to Djokovic before generously gifting him the replica. The helmet prominently featured the Shanghai underground tube as well as several important streets of the revered city.

"This is a helmet, I had actually for the Chinese race, a special edition. So if you look, this is Shanghai Underground Tube Station, and then you have all the Shanghai Landmarks and all that and this is my first time watching the race as a kid and after 20 years I'm back at the track, I signed for you as well" he explained Djokovic.

"This is a precious gift!" Novak Djokovic exclaimed.

The Chinese driver has not yet hit his stride at the pinnacle of motorsport. Currently, without a contract for the upcoming season, he has firmly stated his desire to continue with the Sauber (Audi) F1 team in 2025.
