After securing a second-round win at the 2024 Shanghai Masters, Novak Djokovic engaged in a stylish street photoshoot. The Serb displayed his playful side by posing in front of a 'hot pot' sign, adding a touch of humour to the occasion.

Djokovic, determined to claim his first title of the season, made his way to the ATP Masters 1000 hardcourt tournament in Shanghai following Serbia's victory over Greece at the Davis Cup. This victory secured their entry into the tournament's qualifying round, scheduled for 2025.

Having recently commenced his campaign at the Shanghai Masters, the fourth-seeded Novak Djokovic earned a first-round bye and progressed to the second round. In a match lasting one hour and 55 minutes, the 24-time Grand Slam champion defeated Alex Michelsen with scores of 7-6(3), 7-6(9), securing his spot in the third round.

After defeating Michelsen, the former World No.1 immediately took to social media to share a series of photos from his post-match exploration of the streets of China. Engaging in a photo shoot at various locations, including in front of eateries and amidst a bustling sea of pedestrians, he displayed his unwinding moments for all to see.

"This sign means “hot pot” so I had to pose in front of it," the 37-year-old captioned his Instagram post.

Who will Djokovic face in the third round?

Novak Djokovic has made a comeback to the 2024 Shanghai Masters after a five-year break. The Serbian tennis player is determined to clinch his fifth title in the tournament, having emerged victorious in 2012, 2013, 2015, and 2018.

Djokovic is set to compete against the victor of the second-round match between 28th seed Flavio Cobolli and wild card Stan Wawrinka in the third round of the 2024 Shanghai Masters.

Djokovic has faced Wawrinka 28 times and has emerged victorious on 21 occasions. The Serb is yet to face Flavio Cobolli in the ATP circuit.
