Aryna Sabalenka reaches fourth consecutive US Open semi final after straight win over Olympic Champion Zheng

The Quarter finals of the US Open have just begun and we have slready seen some amazing matches unfold in this tournament. Both the ATP and the WTA scene have given us some of the most iconic matches which we all have enjoyed as the fans of the game. With just 8 players left in the race for Grand Slam glory we are in for some more great matches in the tournament.

The second quarter final that we all were looking forward to was between World number 2 Aryna Sabalenka and Olympic Gold Medalist Qinwen Zheng. While Sabalenka has been in incredible form this season and is looking for her 3rd Grand Slam title, Zheng has been looking forward to continue her great form after the Paris Olympics where she created history. Overall this was another great matchup between two players who are focused on achieveing greatness in New York this season.

Sabalenka dominates the Gold medalist

Though we all were impressed with Qinwen Zheng's performance in Paris and also her journey into the quarter finals of this Grand Slam events, it is safe to say that she did not really have the perfect beginning in the match after Sabalenka got the better of her in the first set winning it by a margin of 6-1. This was enough to put the pressure on the Chinese number one. The second set proved to be another story of dominance for the Belarusian as she wins another straight game to make it to her 4th consecutive and 9th overall career Grand Slam semi final.

This was another great performance from Sabalenka who is now looking like one of the most fircest contenders in the US Open so far. This was another dominant victory which has taken her closer to another Grand Slam victory and we all will excited to see her keep giving us great performances like this. With just two wins away from glory the Belarusian looks in great form in the tournament.
